What you might be wondering
A few things people ask about WavyWays — what it is, what it isn't, and how it treats you and your data.
What is WavyWays?
WavyWays is a hand-drawn app for a gentler relationship with food and your body. It's a daily companion with games that form kinder habits instead of calorie counting. You can start where you are and take it slowly.
Is WavyWays a calorie counter or food tracker?
Quite the opposite. WavyWays wants to show you that you can trust yourself and enjoy food without counting or weighing. No food is labelled good or bad, clean or earned. You can note what you ate and how you felt if you want to — but it's for your self-reflection, not for numbers or targets.
Who is WavyWays for?
Anyone who wants an easier, kinder relationship with food and their body — whether you're healing from years of dieting or are simply tired of tracking.
What does “no good or bad foods” mean?
Many of us carry a sense that some foods are “good” and others are “bad” — and that eating the bad ones makes us bad too. WavyWays doesn't work that way. Food isn't a moral indicator of your worth, it's not good, or bad. The app is built to help you loosen that good-or-bad thinking rather than reinforce it.
Is WavyWays for eating disorder recovery?
WavyWays can sit gently alongside recovery, but it is not treatment and it is not a substitute for professional care. If you're struggling with eating or with your body right now, please reach out to a doctor, a therapist, a dietitian, or a person who can actually be with you.
Can WavyWays replace therapy, a dietitian, or a doctor?
No. WavyWays is a general wellness companion, not a medical service. It's meant to support the care you get from real people, never to stand in for it.
When will WavyWays be available?
WavyWays is still being made by one person, by hand, so it takes time. The best way to see it when it's ready is to join the waitlist — we'll send a single note when it's here, and nothing else.
What platforms will WavyWays be on?
WavyWays is being built as a mobile app for iOS and Android, available through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
How much will WavyWays cost?
WavyWays will be a subscription app with a free trial, so you can see whether it fits you first. Exact pricing will be shared closer to launch, and waitlist members will hear first.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your private writing is yours: we never sell your data, never show ads, and never use your diary, mood, or food notes to train AI models. The content of your logs is never sent to our analytics. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Who makes WavyWays?
WavyWays is built in Poland by a single designer and developer, with guidance from people who work in this field. Everything you see is drawn by hand.
